Information We May Collect
We do not collect any personally identifiable information about you during your use of CarpeCam.
Feedback and bug reporting
CarpeCam does not provides an option called "Send feedback / Report a bug" that you can use to inform us of any bugs you observe, provide remarks or simply share your thoughts with us by sending it to email@example.com. If you use this option, we ask for your email address so we have a way to respond. You can optionally give us your name and your description of the feedback you want to report.
When you use this option we do gather some additional, non-personal information about your device and the state of CarpeCam so we have a better shot at diagnosing the issue you are reporting. This information includes:
- Environment Info: Device model, iOS version, iOS language, free disk space, CarpeCam version.
- Carpecam settings: quality & saving options, camera settings used.
- Description about the last error encountered, if any, as provided by the system.
We may update the information we gather in this manner when we release new features or identify areas that need better diagnosing. We will always use technical details about your device or CarpeCam, and we will never include any personally identifiable information about you our your device. In particular, no device identifiers, IP addresses or GPS locations are or will be recorded.
When some specific errors occur, such as when a photo cannot be saved, we offer you the possibility to send that particular photo to us, along with the edits you applied to it. If you choose to attach the photo, all the metadata information (including GPS location if geotagging was enabled at the time of shooting) it contains will also be sent to us.
Usage of the information we collect
The information you send when you use the bug or crash reporting options is only used for the purposes of identifying the problem you reported. The information is not used in any other way, profiling or otherwise; and it is not used for advertising purposes. That includes your email address, which will only be used to communicate with you regarding the problem you reported and will not be used for any other purpose.
